Cycling through Si Satchanalai Historial Park

Wandering through the ancient ruins of Sukhothai Historial Park

We really enjoyed our time in Sukhothai, cycling around the ancient city ruins. We found the peace and tranquility of the countryside a pleasant antidote to the craziness of Bangkok.

The awesome Wat Si Chom

One ancient temple ruin in particular was especially impressive: Wat Si Chom. The giant seated Buddha and the tall walls leaning over us imparted a genuine feeling of awe.

After two days though, it was time to get back on the bus and head for Damnoen Saduak. To get there, we first had to deal with Bangkok again...
